I recently observed my microphone and camera stop functioning on my PC, and after testing on other computers they operate normally. I ran various SFC, DISM scans, and checked registry entries, but nothing resolved the issue. Whenever I try to open microphone or camera permissions, the window just disappears completely. It might be a permission problem. I'm also using an admin account and have attempted another Windows sign-in, yet it still doesn't work.

which microphone and camera does it use? is it connected via USB? is it located on the front or back of the PC? update the USB drivers and chipset drivers for your motherboard. verify if the sound from Windows plays when you plug it in. look in the Device Manager for USB issues (exclamation mark, question mark, or arrow). turn the device on and off as needed, then update the driver there.

Update your post with complete hardware details and operating system information. Provide the power supply specifications, including voltage, amperage, age, and condition (original, build, refurbished, used). List the disk drive specifications such as make, model, and capacity, along with their current usage. Include a description of all connected peripherals. Clarify whether the network connection is wired or wireless.
