I made a few transactions with a friend and ended up receiving this server rack (or perhaps a server rack). I’m not sure what exactly I have, but I’d appreciate advice on how to make the most of it.

You'll need to disassemble it and examine the components.

Examining the ports—PS/2 keyboard and mouse, 15-way D-sub VGA, RJ45 Ethernet, USB, etc.—suggests you likely have four PICMG industrial computer cards, possibly over ten years old.

And if it is a working server rack, what are your plans for it?

The frame (metal sheet) appears to be Cisco.

Here is the content presented in a different format while keeping the original meaning and tone.
The interior of a blade is shown along with the top of the case.

Based on the F-X43E15 part number seen in the first image, it appears to be a Flextron component resembling an infiniband switch. The second photo shows a Mellanox Infiniband card (MHGA28-XTC). Near the RAM in the second picture, you can see the Intel Server S5000XALR — details available at the provided link. This motherboard was released around 2010, making it approximately 15 years old and valued around $40 according to recent sales data.
