Can you install a new power supply in your Dell PC case?
I have a
Dell Vostro 3888
. I have been wanting to upgrade It but the PSU inside It Is pretty small.
It isn't a cube like the PSU I am buying, it is a cuboid but a small one. I searched all over for its name but I couldn't find It, all I know is the PSU was made by Dell, here is a pic for reference:
The one In the pic is not the same as the one i have but it is the same shape. Will I be able to get a new PSU ?
I know it won't fit in the case but it could fit if I put it in horizontally.
I purchased an Arc A750 but I can't use it until I obtain a new power supply unit.
It is a Dell PSU, do you have the compatibility details? It should be a 500-watt 80 Plus Platinum model. Should I purchase this PSU to fit your existing case, or would it be better to get a new case, motherboard, and PSU?
With a 6 pin and 8 pin PCIe connection, it works fine. It's more affordable than buying a new case, motherboard, and ATX power supply.
I checked the compatibility section for this PSU and confirmed it works with Dell PCs.
