Can you increase your CPU's speed beyond its rated limits using this motherboard?

I plan to upgrade my gaming PC soon (the specs are listed below).
Case: Corsair Carbide 300R Midi Tower
Motherboard: Gigabyte Motherboard H97-HD3 (H97/1150/DDR3)
PSU: 835W (brand name will be changed later, probably to a more recognized one)
CPU: Intel CPU Core i7 4790K (1150/4.00 GHz/8 MB)
GPU: Strix-GTX970-DC2OC-4GD5
RAM: Corsair 8GB DDR3
HDD: x1 500gb/x2. WD Blue Desktop HDD 1 TB 7200rpm
Cooling: Corsair CPU Cooler Hydro H100i GTX Extreme Performance
My concern is whether I can overclock the CPU with this motherboard.
I already know it’s a strong CPU, but I just want to confirm if it’s feasible.

Absolutely! Gigabyte is quite suitable for overclocking. However, if you're new to it, an Asus or ARrock might be a better choice.
