He'll be there
I'm sure you can get frustrated on a PS4 pro, so why not try an overclocking program?
I need to upgrade the power supply and manage the heat, but don't worry about those.
I've searched a bit but haven't found much useful. It seems others have tried it before, though I'm not sure.
Thanks guys
Are you referring to overclocking during Linux execution or while playing PS4 games? If the latter, it seems you'd need to modify the BIOS/FW directly through hex editing. It's also likely that the system requires a digital signature for the FW, which would prevent this.
Not possible, AFAIK.
Realistically, a console (be it PS4, XB etc) are tweaked to about their max stable for a given chip, their respective cooling and power solutions.
Any theoretical overclock would be negligible, and unlikely to net any noticeable performance gains without a complete overhaul of the interior for cooling and power delivery.

Jacob Renall confirms understanding. Overclocking the PS4 physically isn't feasible, regardless of custom BIOS or firmware. Even with modifications, you'd likely face performance limits or crashes, resulting in an overall negative outcome. Mods usually disable online features and store access, making it impractical even theoretically.
