Hi everyone, I recently purchased a Ryzen 3 1300X and noticed many discussions about overclocking limitations with certain motherboards. Specifically, I’m wondering if using an MSI B350M PRO-VD PLUS or an ASROCK B350M-HDV is feasible, given the advice that a B350 motherboard is necessary for overclocking. I found some links to the relevant product pages.

Yes, that's accurate. A B350 or X370 board is necessary to overclock the Ryzen CPU. The A320 boards don't support this capability.

Certainly, you should be capable of increasing the clock speeds on those boards. Make sure to install the latest BIOS before beginning the overclocking process.
