Hey! I'm exploring the process of constructing a new mini gaming PC. My reference comes from Optimum tech, specifically his video where he assembles an NCASE M2. Although I don't need that exact case, a similar size would be ideal for me.

Currently, I have assembled something like this:
Mobo: ASUS ROG Strix B760-I GAMING WIFI
CPU: Intel Core i7-14700 Boxed
GPU: Prime GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16GB GDDR7
AIO CPU Cooler: Arctic Liquid Freezer III 280
RAM: G.Skill Flare X5 F5-6000J2836G32GX2-FX5
SSD: WD Black SN850X (with heatsink) 2TB
PSU: Corsair SF850 (2024)

Does this configuration seem solid and reliable? Are there any adjustments I should consider?

Regarding the case, besides the NCASE M2, would another option work well? Would everything fit properly?
Thanks!

It would work well but could cause overheating and impact performance.

Obviously someone who is into those cases will give you better suggestions. The approximate configuration besides other things is to see ballpark budget(you didn't mention budget, country, preffered places to buy from)...the case there is just for pricing purpose.
Being 1hat 14 gen intel CPUs "have some issues",... and because of being newer/more energy efficient, more powerful e-cores arrow lake seems a better choice to me for intel system. Yes FPS might be lower but with latest "patches", that shoud be even less so.
If you are flexible on the case size, that's what the other two configurations are for.

What counts as a hotbox and excellent performance would depend on the setup. If the GPU temperature is about 70 and the CPU around 65, it seems manageable for the current configuration. It doesn’t seem too bad at all.

My budget is about 2000.- maybe I can proceed with this! The cheaper the better, though it won’t drop to a 100 price difference. I just need a quiet mini PC. My current one is pretty loud, especially the GPU. Thank you for your suggestions! They look great. Any other case recommendations? What other CPU would you suggest if this one has problems?

I would steer clear of the 14th generation Intel models since they seem to still face CPU stability problems.

Typically you must select quiet operation or a mini PC, but not both at once. There are only around three options that suit your needs, and the NCASE M2 is one of them. Another option is the NR200. I think there are some lesser-known cases from smaller boutique case manufacturers in China that I haven't heard about either.

I would consider a 32GB RAM configuration and allocate the savings to a board compatible with PCIe 5.0 for the GPU.

It depends on the reason behind the temperature. You can always adjust the cards and play more conservatively.
