Can you help establish a support system for a nearby school?
I’m looking for guidance on setting up a classroom build for game design. The tools required are Unity, Godot Engine, and Blender. We only need the computer hardware and monitors. Since the school has a budget around $1,000, I’d like to stay within that range. Please let me know if you need more details!
I checked the essential PC specs for these tools and it seems Unity, GoDot, and Blender could run on a basic setup. A powerful CPU and a solid power supply would be ideal, along with a good case that can be secured. It might also help to buy one with a locking or wired mounting feature.
School doesn't have any agreements with anyone regarding this matter. Thank you for contacting me; I really value your input. Should we decide whether to choose Intel or AMD based on this situation?
I reference the lockable cases mainly for security reasons as well as to prevent theft. You wouldn't want a scenario where anyone could easily open the case, install hardware, and remove it. It would be simple enough for a few individuals to obstruct the camera views and carry out "malicious" actions.
If you decide to go with AMD/AM5, you'll need to exclude DDR5. AM4 offers many affordable choices for performance and supports DDR4. With Intel 12th to 14th generation, there are options available in both memory types.
Unity requires at least a suitable graphics card to avoid poor FPS in the editor. I’d opt for a more affordable setup that still offers adequate CPU and GPU performance without overheating. What are your thoughts on the storage needs? Is 2 TB sufficient or is there room for more?
I checked the information there:

You'll notice the basic requirements are met by almost any moderately functional PC these days. Very low demand.
Just like with other activities, the results can vary depending on the hardware you use.
I don't require checking that link since I already have direct experience with Unity. You'll need a good GPU and CPU.
Thanks! It seems like you're suggesting a small amount would suffice.
