is there a method to use an elgato hd60 for recording gameplay while keeping the frame rate at 144hz? my pc struggles with streaming overwatch due to its performance, possibly because of the cpu. i might be considering upgrading to an older pc with a 4th gen i5 or i7, which could serve as a better streaming setup. i already own an elgato hd60, so i was wondering if this was feasible in any way. it doesn’t seem logical to purchase a very expensive 4k device if i could get away with a more affordable cpu.

this should work, thanks! also, i have a 6700k and a gtx 1080—assuming the issue is with your cpu causing lag while streaming.

Do you currently use NVENC in OBS?
You might only need to restrict your FPS, perhaps lowering the monitor to 120Hz to give the GPU more capacity.
This system should handle streaming without major problems.
