Hello everyone.
My laptop has a non-removable battery. When playing games it drains quickly—almost completely in about an hour and half.
I wondered if I could connect the laptop directly to a charger instead of using the battery.
(English isn't my native language, please forgive any issues with my writing)

This indicates the adapter lacks sufficient power to operate the laptop when under heavy usage. For longer gaming sessions, you'll need a stronger charger.

Thanks, but I really prefer not to rely on battery power while gaming. I mean, some older laptops let you swap the battery yourself. I also heard that using it during charging isn't great for battery longevity—does that really matter?

It works during charging without issues. Keeping the laptop powered constantly at full capacity shortens its lifespan. Certain models offer a battery protection feature or similar setting, allowing you to halt charging once the battery reaches around 80%. On a gaming machine, even with a more powerful supply, occasional power demands can arise. For example, with a 95-watt unit and average usage of 80 watts during games, it may still charge gradually. But sudden spikes above 100 watts could occur. If the supply can’t meet that level, the device must draw extra power from the battery temporarily.
