Can you determine if your system can be overclocked?
Can you determine if your system can be overclocked?
Hey, I'm trying to increase my rig's clock speed but need to check if it can handle it.
Current specs: AMD FX-8320 @ 3.5ghz, looking to reach 4.0ghz.
Also running AMD RX 470 4GB with 16GB DDR3 RAM.
My power supply is an EVGA 500w certified 80+ unit.
I'm using a Gigabyte 990FX-UD3 R5 motherboard (rev. 1).
Any advice or suggestions would be great. Thanks!
I'm trying to increase my rig's performance but I'm not sure if my system can handle it. Here are the details:
Processor: AMD FX-8320 @ 3.5ghz
Target: Up to 4.0ghz
GPU: AMD RX 470 4GB with 16GB DDR3
Power Supply: EVGA 500w 80+ certified
Motherboard: Gigabyte 990FX-UD3 R5 [rev. 1]
Please let me know if you need advice or have any suggestions. Thank you!
If things go well, be careful—overclocking can quickly increase heat and power consumption, and the PSU might not handle it well.
