The fundamental configuration involves ISP -> router (referred to as gateways), followed by POE switch, then building 1 AP and building 2 AP connected via POE switch, and finally building 3 AP in the same chain.

The UCG –
https://store.ui.com/us/en/pro/category/.../ucg-ultra
offers the gateway and management console.

The POE switches are available as Lite 8 –
https://store.ui.com/us/en/pro/category/...lite-8-poe
If your ceilings allow mounting a standard AP, the U6 lite –
https://store.ui.com/us/en/pro/category/...ts/u6-lite
is a cost-effective option. For environments with extreme temperatures or humidity, an outdoor-rated model such as the Swiss Army Knife –
https://store.ui.com/us/en/pro/category/...s/uk-ultra
might be more suitable.

Ensure you purchase a short (10ft) Ethernet cable and set up the system properly. After completing the configuration, proceed to remote buildings. If issues arise, verify the problem lies with the cabling.

OK....Thanks for the equipment list....THIS is how I read your layout
Building 1
Gateway & a POE switch
Building 2
POE Switch & AP
Building 3
POE & AP
Is that right?

Building 3 might not need a POE switch. It could simply use an AP connected to building 2.

Could you determine if connecting POE cameras to these switches is feasible, and whether a recorder in building 1 can be linked to the POE switch?

The switches I mentioned include 4 POE ports—one dedicated to the AP and three for other functions. If additional ports are needed, there are options available. This wasn't specified in the initial request.

I know this is an old thread...BUT - My Fiber JUST came thru....It took 2 years to get to this point. Does the previously mentioned equipment still hold valid for what I want to do? My new Router ( or Gateway ) is from Spectrum and its a 6E router

The spectrum provided the starting point. From there, I can move to a POE switch, then proceed straight to building 2 for switching, followed by building 3 to a switch. Building 3 requires a switch for connecting the cameras.
