Why did you choose LGA 775? That platform has really been a challenge for me. You should boost the frequency for better performance. You might also want to increase VTT for higher overclocking. I'm from Southbridge, I just push it to the limit. Turn off spread spectrum that restricts audio. LGA 775 is where I feel confident, if you share more info I can assist you.
