Can you assist me in improving my old computer for playing DayZ?
I participate in the Day One DayZ server and sometimes experience significant lag. My PC doesn’t meet the minimum system requirements for memory, which I think is the main issue. However, I’d appreciate some advice on components—such as graphics card, RAM, etc.—that could improve performance while fitting my existing setup. I built this machine 6 or 7 years ago, and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Below are my specifications. Thank you.
The processor and GPU are just meeting the bare minimum requirements, but upgrading them could still provide some improvement. Looking at the minimum versus recommended levels shows that a better GPU, besides the RAM, would likely be the more advantageous option, because the performance jump from a 4690k to a 6600k isn't as significant as the gap between a 760 and a 1060.

I have a similar vintage setup—16GB RAM, upgraded to a 1650 video card—which has significantly boosted my gaming experience. I haven't played DayZ yet. My performance is solid: 60fps in Overwatch (due to CPU limits), and 50fps in GTAV at 1080p. With future upgrades, this card will remain a decent choice for my current games.
