The game doesn't have a true final objective. Just keep farming and repeating until you're tired of it. Still a fun experience for those who enjoy that kind of gameplay.

It has moved beyond the beta stage by the end of March 2013 and was officially launched on March 25, 2013. Also, "finished" isn't correct—they'll continue releasing updates to keep you engaged because it's a free-to-play title.

The narrative in the game focuses more on repetitive tasks and casual play rather than a traditional ending. Warframe is designed for players who enjoy persistent grinding and experimentation.

you're asking about what you mean by "mindlessly grinding and messing around" in relation to the Warframe game, and whether the game has an open world.

There are two large open maps available, yes, but grinding typically occurs on expansive and open areas. By grinding without thought, I mean collecting items, selling them, upgrading your equipment, and repeating the process. I believe it's an enjoyable game even if you lose interest in grinding—just visit one of the open maps for some fun. Since it's free, why not give it a try? The community is quite friendly and supportive based on my experience.
