The situation is clear, there are no nearby stores with thermal paste. You might need to wait a week before purchasing. Regarding using toothpaste on your CPU while gaming, it’s generally not recommended as it could damage the hardware.

It will function well (using no paste at all would be fine too, though I wouldn't suggest it for intense gaming sessions). The main concern is how simple or difficult it is to remove after applying proper paste, and whether any parts might get damaged if you accidentally touch it.

Toothpaste is frequently compared to peanut butter or Nutella because it doesn’t break down easily, making it more stable over time. You only need to reapply it when it begins to dry out. Keep in mind it’s abrasive, so it’s better to wipe it away instead of scrubbing, which could scratch the heat sink and CPU spreader. (Using toothpaste in gears for a short time is a popular method...)

daviddacosta200611: no shops near me have thermal paste, my only choice is to wait a week before buying one. i didn’t buy any online, will it be safe to use toothpaste on my cpu every day while gaming? R_1: they actually tested toothpaste with some other items too. it’s up to you.

daviddacosta200611 :
No local stores have thermal paste available; my only choice is to wait a week before purchasing one, as I haven’t bought any online before. Will it be safe to use toothpaste on my CPU every day while gaming? You’re really going to disassemble the system just to reapply it daily? For a gaming PC? The risk of damaging it far outweighs patience.

I don't find any shops selling thermal paste nearby, so my only choice is to wait a week before buying some. I haven't purchased anything online yet. Will it be okay to use toothpaste on my CPU every day while gaming? You're really going to disassemble it enough to reapply it daily? For a game PC? The chance of breaking something is much higher than patience.

Are you really eager to seize that opportunity? Waiting a week seems unreasonable.
