However, it shouldn't really matter. We can connect it to a battery terminal and that cable going to the starter usually draws between 200 and 350 amps, whereas the 12vhpwr plug on an RTX 5090 doesn't tend to draw more than 50 amps, making it unlikely to cause any issues.

Nice. I shifted focus from AST to industrial machinery, then expanded my skills. Being a mechanic was likely the most rewarding job I ever had, and I still reflect on it with fond memories. Unfortunately, the earnings weren't enough to support a household, so I had to change direction. I still miss those years.

I enjoy earning rewards from fixing cars at home. I could have done better in an actual garage. I definitely admire that.

I created an account just to confirm this. If you're dealing with money in DeoxIT #D100L-25C, it's the right choice. I can't confirm other brands or numbers, but this exact code works well enough to lower friction. Just place one drop on each pin, insert it, and don't remove the connector. I've tested it in MIL-Spec connectors for aerospace and with my RTX4090. The connector hasn't failed yet. Using lubricant won't fix bad quality connectors. The top cable I've used is from Lian Li Edge Series PSU—they mold their connectors instead of using an insert housing.
