That's what I intended, though I'm still unsure about the terms used.
EasyUEFI works well and I'm currently using it.

I used the Windows edition of easyUEFI. At first it showed a warning that win10 was running in EFI mode and some features wouldn't work. I kept going and added an item to the boot menu, but under the Linux tab it disappeared completely. Still, things aren't completely hopeless.
Pressing F9 during startup isn't too bad now, especially with the 5-second delay—it's just another puzzling issue.

I have never encountered EasyUEFI displaying such a message; it appears intended for use only with an underlying Windows installed in UEFI mode. If Windows is in Legacy mode, then EasyUEFI will not install at all.

It's a standard alert with Easybcd too, since .vhd files can be booted normally, but UEFI restricts some features, which is why it cautions you about limitations.
