in the picture can be seen that the clip (indicated with red arrow) doesn't make contact with the battery. as i suspected. i tried to move the clip inside as much as i could, then placed the battery, but still experiencing the issue with bios setup page when the power is taken off from the unit. didn't take and after picture, as i'm convinced it's not making contact.
however i would like a second opinion before i go to pc service , and also, if you can tell me what should I expect from the pc service to do to fix the issue ?

Consider obtaining a second viewpoint prior to visiting the PC service center, and also inquire about what you can anticipate from their repair process for resolving the problem. Gather photographs from 2 or 3 repair shops, seek recommendations from family and friends. Provide a detailed hardware overview including the operating system, motherboard specifications (make, model, version), CPU, GPU, RAM, disk drive details (brand, model, capacity, usage), power supply information (make, model, wattage, condition), and any attached peripherals. A visit to the shop in person, along with conversations with staff, can offer valuable insights. Clarify the costs associated with diagnostics, labor, and parts. It might be sufficient to simply restore the clip to function properly, ensuring proper contact and CMOS battery stability. Don’t hesitate to ask questions; if they avoid answering clearly or remain evasive, consider seeking alternatives.
