I'm working on itx case (fractal design core 500). I understand cooling might be a problem, so I'm adding fans and the cryorig m9i for my 8700k. I'm aiming to overclock as much as possible. Since it's going to get very hot, I need to check if delidding and using liquid metal would be beneficial. Should I also consider liquid metal for my GPU (GTX 1080, likely a mini)?

Choose the Cryorig H7. Besides that, you're going too far with the liquid metal and delidding. Start with a solid cooler, check your case's airflow if the thermals are an issue, then examine the fans, and finally consider the room temperature around you.
