I was planning to assemble a PC using a 4090 card but now I’m thinking about a 1440p 240hz monitor. After receiving many comments, I’m unsure whether to buy the 4090 right away or wait and upgrade to a better card once the 5000 series comes out. For gaming needs—Valorant, RDR2, Spider-Man, Metro, Dying Light, Cyberpunk, video editing, and 3D work—I’m really into these titles. Should I invest in upgraded components now, or should I focus on getting a better 4090 build?

4070ti + 5000 series card (-4070ti resell used) probably won't provide better value than a 4090. The 5000 series details are unclear, pricing is uncertain, and availability is doubtful. If you need something else, consider your upgrade options now.

I recommend a mobo featuring improved VRMs. The Pro RS offers 14 phases but I believe it needs 60A capacitors. A strong VRM is essential if you're running a 250W continuous load during video editing.
The MSI Pro A provides 16 phases and 80A capacitors, making it a stronger option.
Other options include:
MSI Tomahawk, Gigabyte Aorus Elite, Asrock Riptide, among others.
