I received a new Wi-Fi card that didn’t match my expectations. The packaging featured branding from the PCI-E carrier (Fenvi), not Intel. I’ve included photos of the hardware info for both the new unit and the original Intel model. Performance was marginally better on the new card, though the difference was within acceptable limits. My current setup is an Intel 8265, and I’m upgrading to an Ax200.

Seems genuine enough. I own an ethernet card from HP that is labeled as such but is actually an Intel chip just with a sticker. I think you purchased a card meant for an OEM system builder—these tend to be more affordable. If the Intel driver installs smoothly, that’s a good sign.

These are new versions of Intel adapters. Killer WiFi offers similar functionality while offering its own software and drivers for additional customization and features.
