You get different experiences depending on your Windows version—such as Home, Pro, etc. OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer, meaning it’s the official setup from the company that made your hardware. As a gamer planning to learn coding basics, Pro or Enterprise editions might offer better performance and features for development tasks. Let me know if you need more details!

Typically people use Windows Home, while Pro offers advanced tools such as Hyper-V and Remote Desktop Connection. Enterprise editions exist but are limited to business environments. OEM keys function only with specific OEM ISO versions and not across all systems. For gaming or coding, Home remains the best option unless you require Pro-specific capabilities elsewhere.

OEM applies to manufacturers such as Dell and HP, yet they can work with standard personal computers provided the hardware is linked to the motherboard. Pro offers BitLocker but lacks automatic updates. Home setup uses only Windows without additional tools. In my view, Pro isn't justified by the extra cost.
