You’ve got a 32-bit Windows 10 installation with plenty of RAM, but you want to upgrade to 64-bit. You’ll need to reinstall Windows in the higher version. Follow the official setup guide to complete the conversion.

Sure, but installing a 64-bit version would remove all my existing applications.

It will erase the SSD or HDD. Installing Windows 10 64-bit will perform a fresh setup. I'm facing the same situation as you. I'm updating my operating system this summer since it's on my laptop.
