Can my existing hardware configuration support streaming with my outdated processor?
I recently acquired an Acer Helios 300 (from 2019 with a GTX 1660Ti). I intend to broadcast my video games using an older computer with an Intel Pentium G4560 processor, 8GB of RAM, and a GTX 1050Ti. I’m also considering purchasing an Elgato HD60s, and my question is whether this device will adequately transmit my game footage to platforms like Facebook Gaming, YouTube, or Twitch at a 1080p resolution and 60 frames per second. Furthermore, I want to utilize it for streaming content from my PlayStation 4 as well.
If your primary goal is simply broadcasting, that should work adequately.
However, you won’t be able to engage in any other activities simultaneously while streaming.
I've accomplished this with fewer resources.
The processor needs are a limiting factor.
It necessitates a Haswell i5-4xxx or newer model.
For purely focused streaming operations, it should likely suffice… however, the only definitive test is experimentation.
