I recently experienced the HTC Vive with a friend’s computer and am seriously considering purchasing one myself. Right now, I possess the funds to do so. Specifically, I’m interested in acquiring a new HTC Cosmos. However, my primary concern is whether my computer can adequately support it – that’s what I'm questioning.

Here’s a breakdown of my hardware:
Processor: Intel Core i7 8700
RAM: 16GB DDR4
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 with 8GB of memory.

My system currently handles all my games at maximum settings flawlessly, but I’ve been informed that VR headsets demand substantial processing power. Do you know if my PC is sufficiently robust?

Based on the specifications on the HTC website, they state a minimum requirement of an Intel Core i5 4590. Are my assumptions correct that an i7 processor represents a significant upgrade? I lack sufficient knowledge regarding computer specifications to fully grasp the distinctions between them. Furthermore, they list a minimum NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 with 4GB of video memory as another prerequisite. Again, am I correct in believing that my RTX 2070 is superior to this older card? I’m unsure about the differences between RTX and GTX graphics cards.
