VRAM probably isn’t the problem, even if others have mentioned it. The main concern is that your GPU is a basic model built for 1080p. It should handle Warhammer at 1440p60 medium, but not Borderlands 4. It really depends on which games you plan to play. You can also use a 1440p monitor at a lower resolution and enable DLSS (though frame generation isn’t necessary), as it usually provides good performance.
What hz should I choose for the 1440p monitor? I mainly want to play horror and AAA games in 1440p medium-high with DLSS or without, and possibly framegen if needed. I’ll probably be playing the last of Us parts 1 and 2, plus other horror titles like Resident Evil 4. Borderlands seems unlikely because it’s likely not optimized for such power requirements. I’m considering a 3080 and an i7 12700, which according to 'can you run it' is doable, but 32gb of RAM is expensive and a big consideration right now.

In this clip, the creator is testing a 12600KF CPU with an RTX 4060. The 5060 is about as quick as a 3070 and roughly 20-25% faster than the 4060. They’re also comparing DLAA and DLSS results, so be sure to verify FPS at each resolution you test.

I'll definitely look into those videos and might try a ips 144hz or 180hz 1440p monitor. Borderlands 4 isn't my main focus in games, but I could give it a shot. Probably won't get the update in December either, since downloading it would mean getting the cracked version, which costs 70 dollars USD—about 3,274 egp for someone in Egypt. That's quite expensive for a game.
