Can Intel HD Graphics be overclocked?
If it's possible
What are the steps to optimize my HD Graphics 2000?
Intel XTU can be used for overclocking, though this is not advised.
Yes you can change the OC of igpu graphics. But pause for a moment. The igpu is integrated into the CPU, so any changes there will impact the CPU overall, increasing voltages, heat, current, resistance, influencing memory controller performance, PCIe bandwidth, and causing various other issues.
Intel advises against making modifications to the igpu because it's already optimized for balanced operation with the rest of the CPU.
Think of it like this: if you were to boost performance in just one cylinder of an 8-cylinder engine while adding nitrous only to one, you'd create unnecessary stress and the benefits would be minimal.
Depends a great deal on the motherboard, even with XTU as I know. If you have a solid consumer board, you can adjust the GPU voltage. If not, you might just need to raise the GPU clock speed only.
In mobile setups, keep in mind that temperatures could rise and lead to early throttling.
