Can I use two monitors, placing one for my PC and the other for streaming Sling or YouTube?
AMD Radeon RX 580 2048SP with Win 11 and 32 gigabytes RAM. Adapter supports 1 HDMI and 1 Display port. UNI-DIRECTIONAL CABLE links the DisplayPort signal from the adapter to HDMI only on the monitor. Two identical Phillips monitors are used. The PC functions well, streaming TV to the other monitor is possible. Sling TV and YouTube work fine on the first monitor. No issues encountered. Please advise if this setup can be adjusted so that one monitor handles work tasks and the other streams TV on the other side. I’ve tried some display tweaks but had no success. Thanks for your help.
the link for the cable from Amazon is:

If I adjust the monitor during setup, will it function as a single display? Not two separate feeds.
there are only 2 ports on the card: 1 HDMI and 1 display port (DP) which connects to the HDMI on the monitor
I'm trying to determine if I can run my PC output on one monitor and stream TV on another
Thanks for your response!
I have a fix from another source:
Ensure both your displays are connected to the PC as you prefer.
Right-click on the Desktop and choose "Display settings".
You'll see one display active and another inactive.
Go to Multiple Displays, click "Duplicate these displays".
Below, open Advanced display settings.
In the pop-up, under Monitor tab, set the refresh rate to the highest available for your Display Port monitor and apply.
In Multiple displays settings, switch to Extend these displays.
Now both displays should be accessible separately. Is this correct?
Yes, that looks accurate. That is the configuration of my system. For instance, yesterday I watched an F1 race on my second screen while working on my main display.
So should I stick to the instructions you provided? Yeah, that makes sense. Thanks for clarifying.
When I tried it, the mouse appeared to be off or on another screen, so I had to use the tab key to navigate... It was a bit tricky, but if it works, I’ll finish it.
I’ll just focus on getting the timing right, okay?
Any other tips or things to watch out for? Thanks again for your help!
