Hello, I discovered my old laptop that hasn't been used in a while.
It is an Asus X553M with an Intel BayTrail M Quad Core processor up to 2.66GHz and 4GB of RAM.
I'm planning to upgrade it to 8GB of RAM and install an SSD.
Can anyone confirm if it's suitable for use with AutoCAD without any issues?

I understand your background as an architect and will take some time to clarify what AutoCAD version you need. Since I've been using AutoCAD since 2006, please let me know which version you prefer. Upgrading now might require a different approach, and you may want to consider a compatible laptop or system.
For current projects, the processor won't handle everything well, and even an 8GB RAM stick won't suffice. Using an SSD can improve performance, though it might limit some platform capabilities.

I was considering AutoCAD 2016. Would that be fine? Perhaps the 2018 version?
