Hi! I understand your situation. My FX 4300 is running around 9 degrees in idle, but the processor isn't ideal for gaming. I've stress tested it in Prime95 and saw it handling about 37 GHz under load. Can you overclock it? It's currently at 3.8 GHz, and I'd like to know the maximum possible overclock. Thanks!

The temperatures are quite low, particularly given that it's in prime 95 and the CPU is reaching its maximum. It depends on the power supply you have and whether your motherboard supports overclocking, if at all. If you're not familiar with overclocking, you'll need to check your BIOS settings and each motherboard is unique.

Do you know the model of your motherboard and the power supply you're using? I can check compatibility with overclocking and see if you have sufficient wattage.

Hope this is useful, and feel free to reach out if you need assistance—I'm here to help! (much)
Thanks,
Simon

It relies on your motherboard and power source. Those temperatures are quite low.

Hi ! My fx 4300 is running around 9 degrees in idle
Do you reside in an igloo? What is your room temperature?
