I own a Pentium G3420 and an Asus h81m-e motherboard. I haven't attempted overclocking before, but I'm interested in trying it out. First, I want to check if my motherboard can handle the process and second, I'm curious about the tools people use for CPU overclocking.

Usually you require a Z97 to enhance any component, even this one.

Usually you require a Z97 to perform any chip overclocking, including this one. I just found out you might be able to do it with your motherboard, but if not, then it's probably not possible.

No, you can't change the BCLK using that motherboard.
