Hey guys, for a long time I have been wondering if I can actually overclock this old CPU and how to do it. I would love some simple tips because I am not very familiar with computers or hardware in general. Here is the exact CPU and motherboard model: CPU: AMD Athlon 64 x2 Dual Core Processor 4400+ Motherboard: A780L M2L+ Code name: Brisbane

Since there are no heatsinks on those voltage regulators, I'd skip adding one to them. Doing so would likely break up that old motherboard.

Without extra cooling, those regulators aren't worth fixing them on an old, risky circuit. Doing so would likely destroy the board.

Damn, okay thanks a lot. It's finally time for me to get a new rig after 10 years. Just wanted to make sure it could take one last run of this old machine. Now my soul feels at peace knowing I never really did the overclocking. Thanks a lot buddy.
