I watched a video showing someone testing an i7 4790k on a H81 motherboard. I attempted the same setup myself but didn’t locate the “AI Overclock Tuner” feature. Was it removed during an update? Should I consider downgrading to the BIOS version referenced in that video if it’s still available?

You're correct, but it comes from the same lineup of motherboards (H81), so I figured it might work.

overclocking bclk is possible, but multiplier OC is fixed for non-z mobos because of H81
