Can I download files and copy them to my smart TV from another device?

I'm trying to accomplish two tasks, but I'm struggling to find the most effective method.
1) Transfer files onto the internal drive of my Sony Bravia X90H (also called X900X, X9000H) from 2020.
2) Upload some APKs using sideloading.
I've already tried connecting my Ext HDD and USB stick, but I can't locate a way to copy files from there to the internal drive.
I'm aware the internal drive is compact, and I've installed APKs on my phone before, though not on a TV. Still, that required an app.
For the second task, most apps listed in the Play Store on the TV seem to only allow you to browse and manage them without actually enabling sideloading.
I'm attempting to use the APK Mirror app, but it won't let me access files from external devices connected to the TV.
If anyone has suggestions or solutions, I'd appreciate it.
