I purchased a cyberpower pc with professional wiring, but one of my fans stopped working so I bought a replacement. Now, I can't remove the faulty fan because I have to disconnect something I'm not familiar with. I'm wondering if I can cut the cable directly connected to the fan, then tape it up and leave it inside my pc.

When you want to cut the cable, open the insulation and trim the 3 or 4 wires to different lengths so they don't touch each other. Secure them with tape. If you're disconnecting the MB end to install a new fan, the cable won't have power, which means it won't matter until someone accidentally plugs it back in.
