My old laptop is quite outdated—bought in 2013, it was purchased in 2023. It’s still functional enough for basic gaming and work tasks. I’m looking for a budget-friendly PC under $100 that can handle both gaming and productivity. Could you share details about this device? Your help would be really appreciated. -_-

Turning a laptop into a PC is possible, though it's not without challenges. Many creators have tried this, but it won't be a full gaming and work machine. You can improve its usability in 2024 by adding RAM and storage. The CPU and GPU can't be upgraded, so you might need to replace the whole motherboard. For better results, consider these useful upgrades instead of trying everything at once.

which games you're aiming for doesn't allow much room for serious play. it's better to save a little more and opt for a used machine.

The Radeon R2 will handle 47% of the top 11,000 PC games. It will also support 23% at recommended or best experience settings. I would keep it as it is and check for older titles it can play in a 5,500 game list. For $100.00, I’d consider a used gaming PC depending on your location to better meet your needs. offerup
