Can anyone in Chile help me run a traceroute test for Warzone 2?
Hello everyone, I am right here in Peru. I have a Netduma R2 gaming router that tries to keep players away from the rest of the world so we can play Warzone 2 better. Even though I tried to make the game only connect to servers in Chile, it keeps sending me packets to Brazil instead. I already checked and found out there is a server for Chile, and I got its IP address (66.203.113.33). When I ran a traceroute test from my computer, the route was being changed so that the connection went through Brazil instead of staying in Chile. It looks like when you connect to Call of Duty servers, they might automatically send your data to another server, which happens to be in Brazil right now. I am asking for help if anyone is in Chile and can spare some time to run a traceroute test on that same IP address (66.203.113.33) so we can see if they are also being redirected to Brazil. It would be awesome if several people could do this test together to get more data and hopefully figure out why this is happening. If you live in Chile and want to help me out, please let me know!
Hola a todos! Ahora estoy en Perú y uso un router de juegos Netduma R2 para separar el área chilena del Warzone 2 y mejorar mis resultados. Pero aunque intento que el juego se conecte solo a servidores chilenos, mi conexión sigue pasando por servidores de Brasil. Ya sé que hay un servidor en Chile para este juego usando la función pingheatmap de Netduma, y conseguí su dirección IP (66.203.113.33). Al hacer una prueba con tracert desde mi computadora de Windows, vi que la conexión estaba siendo redirigida desde Chile hacia Brasil. Parece que el servidor de Call of Duty envía automáticamente cualquier jugador a otro lugar cuando se conecta, en este caso uno en Brasil. Espero conseguir ayuda de alguien en Chile para que pruebe el mismo IP (66.203.113.33) y vea si también va a Brasil. Sería muy genial si varias personas pudieran hacer estas pruebas juntos para recopilar datos y quizás encontrar la razón de todo esto. Try looking for "lookingglass". These websites let some ISPs run your ping and trace from their routers in different cities. It's even better if you can see the BGP routes, which shows how the ISP connects to others across the internet. But knowing all about BGP is really hard stuff that takes a lot of study.
