Whether adjusting the voltage affects the GPU depends on your setup, but keeping it stable should be safe. For the MSI GTX 950, aim for a maximum safe clock speed that matches your motherboard's capabilities. If you're unsure, check the manual or consult a specialist for precise guidance.

that's unusual, afterburner is displaying performance state 1 (idle mode) instead of the under load clock. does it show gpu 5 at the top? do you have five gpus in this setup?

I'm using heaven with maximum settings and haven't encountered any artifacts or crashes. Would it be a good idea to lower the frequency to 1600 MHz instead? Just to be safe. .-

You won't damage the chip if you don't change the voltages, and it might still work even with a slight adjustment. Are your temperatures normal?

My temperatures are near 64 to 65 degrees Celsius
You should keep going, reaching the mid 80s will still leave you with room to breathe

Maybe limit the frequency to 1600 mhz and when attempting games like Minecraft, it appears to reach the boost clock maximum with little variation, whereas in Heaven it seems restricted at 1588. Any suggestions on how to adjust this?

access afterburner options and turn on extended overclocking boundaries. check the frequency with gpu-z while running a game.

Sure, buddy, it's late with me trying things at night. I'll give it another shot tomorrow, thanks a ton. If you've got more questions, feel free to drop a message.
