If I possessed one ultrawide monitor, could it be done to divide it into two virtual displays? When a game switches to full screen, it should display only half of the actual physical screen. In practice, the system treats the single screen as two distinct ones, though some partial features allow apps to use preset areas instead of affecting full-screen games.

I don't believe the method you're suggesting is feasible, especially if you run the game in windowed mode—it wouldn't truly split the screen. I might be mistaken, but it seems it would need a monitor to manage two separate video signals from the GPU. Honestly, I doubt monitors can handle this without special features. There might be some virtual software that could help, but overall it doesn't seem practical.
