I've been using my internet service for ten years and it used to work really well without any trouble. But lately, it acts weird on its own every few days. Sometimes I just have to turn off the router, wait a second, and then turn it back on before it reconnects to the web. Some people say maybe my router is broken. Could a router actually fail in this way? Is this likely happening because the ISP side has an issue or is it something wrong with me?

Did you work with the internet service provider here? Do they supply the equipment for this place?

The Netgear router didn't come from my internet service provider. They said you should have straight-to-the-cloud connection, but a LAN cable was all I needed. This box lets me turn my home stuff into an internet-connected network.
