I understand that support for Windows 10 is nearing its conclusion.
I attempted to prepare my 5820 for this, but the system wouldn’t boot after disabling secure boot. It only checked memory and refused to start. What should I do to get it to accept Windows 11?

It was interesting to see Dell's offer featuring Ubuntu 20.04.
The documentation mentions CPU options that align with Windows 11 compatibility.
After creating a USB from the Windows 11 ISO and booting, the USB should appear in the boot menu, allowing selection.
Proceed by pressing F-12 to access the boot options, then choose the USB drive.
Ensure only one drive is installed during OS installation, keeping the "C" drive connected for the process.

Xeon W2133 @ 3.60 GHz Skylake-W Socket 2066 LGA / Dell 002KVM 06/22/2021 32 gigs DDR4. Also USAF 12 years. I haven't installed Windows 11 from a USB. I ran the check to see if it's ready, so I can move forward with downloading it. I prefer avoiding security risks even though I'm behind a firewall.

It appears the issue lies within the bios settings. Adjusting it outside legacy mode causes problems.

Consider visiting Dell.com, using the support option, entering your service tag with the # symbol, and checking the drivers section for any bios updates. This might assist in resolving the bios issue.

Hi! That was the first step I took. The Dell BIOS version I had was 1.40, while mine came with 2.90. It won’t let me downgrade. Is there a way to do that? Also, the BIOS date listed by Dell was from 2018, but my machine was built in 2021.

Reset the CMOS and take out the CR2032 battery for five minutes. This should bring the BIOS back to its original configuration. Now, does it function properly?
