I plan to upgrade your 2x8 HyperX Predator CL12 with 2400Mhz RAM. You’re considering two RAM options: two 16GB units of either the HyperX Predator 2x16GB DDR4 2400Mhz CL12 or the G.Skill Aegis 2x16GB 3000Mhz DDR4 CL16. The seller mentioned it might not work, but I want to know if both will perform similarly for your video editing and VM operations.

I could possibly be employed, though I wouldn't suggest it.

It's not possible to switch between different RAM speeds. You might be curious about the reason for selling them in pairs instead of offering multiple brands. Likely, they won't function together.

it runs on Mobo and RAM by itself; it may encounter issues even when working

Certainly! The higher setting is adjusted to a lower one, ensuring functionality.

I feel secure purchasing the identical pair from the same brand and model.

According to theory, all RAM modules should operate at the lowest common clock speed and the highest common latency. However, in real scenarios this might lead to compatibility problems. Essentially it should function, though certainty isn't assured.
