The campaign isn't great, but I'm ready for multiplayer. I've received the 7-day trial from Origin. Need to finish the campaign to access the full range of multi-layer weapons?

This method doesn't involve unlocking weapons through a multi-layer process.

Just try the multilayer mode and see how it functions

You obtain certain firearms that become accessible only during the campaign. There are closely matching alternatives available. The campaign isn’t terrible, though it isn’t exceptional... If you bypassed it, you’d miss little, yet progressing through it is quite quick.

The campaign isn't focused on multiplayer. Most multiplayer weapons become available as you advance through the classes.

A few weapons become available during the campaign, but if you only have seven days, it wouldn’t be worth your time. The campaign isn’t overly time-consuming, though.

The game had a single weapon per class unlocked during the campaign, so there was no need to worry. I spent two hours playing and the game crashed when I lost all my save data—just autosaves were available. Eventually, I quit and moved on to multiplayer.

Others have mentioned that few weapons remain unlocked in single-player modes. I recommend giving multiplayer a try using the trial period, and if you enjoy it, purchase the game and complete the campaign to unlock more content. The campaign was decent, though there were moments when I felt like attacking one of the characters. Lol, I understand your point. I set up this PC about 1.5 years ago and bought BF4; the game would crash or fail to load either during startup or shortly after. It was really annoying because it was the only game with such issues, while all my other titles ran perfectly. Only later did I discover it was a buggy version—sometimes patches fixed it, and now it works smoothly for me.

The effort was decent but ultimately left a bit underwhelming, stopping midway with a sense that more could have been done.
