I'm having a lot of trouble using my microphone on any phone or call on my new PC (Windows 11). I can hear music perfectly, but when I try to do an audio call with both input and output, the connection is super bad or the other person just doesn't understand me. When I use wireless earbuds, we can talk to each other, but the sound quality is awful for both sides. By contrast, if I listen to music while wearing them, it works great with no problems at all. Even if I plug my wired headset into the back of the PC using the audio jack, nobody else hears me. Currently, I have to use my speakers to hear someone and my webcam mic to talk, but this is not ideal and sometimes causes an echo when the other person can hear themselves. Also, my webcam works fine as a microphone. I tried messing around with many settings but nothing fixed it. I also downloaded the latest audio drivers from my MB's website, but that didn't help either. One thing to note is that the audio bar keeps moving while I check my mic volume on Windows 11 settings. Even when there is no sound in my room, that green light keeps showing about 25% of the way up and it flickers a bit. But if I look at the audio bar for the webcam input, it doesn't move on its own like this. That's very strange? Some people suggested buying a headset with a USB connection instead, but I'm not really sure why that would be the problem, and I'd rather not spend more money just to find out if the issue is there or not. Any advice would be helpful because this has been going on for over a year and I've tried many times to fix it. Thanks!
