That’s a fascinating observation! It really highlights how much technology has evolved and how quickly things can change.

Lowering the graphics especially the render resolution will help a lot until you can get some ram.

This video details a troubleshooting process for high CPU usage and stuttering in Warzone, focusing on potential issues with Intel processors and their boosting behavior. The user experienced persistent 100% CPU utilization spikes while playing, even during campaign mode, initially attributed to the i7-9700k’s aggressive turbo boost. They discovered that forcing the CPU to operate closer to its base clock speed significantly reduced these spikes, resulting in a 40-50% decrease in overall CPU usage. The issue stemmed from the CPU attempting boosts under heavy load, leading to instability and performance degradation. Addressing this by limiting the CPU’s turbo boost behavior resolved the problem, demonstrating a connection between aggressive boosting and system instability during demanding games like Warzone.

Here’s a rewritten version of the text:

“I’m experiencing lag and stuttering issues in a video game, while my brother doesn't seem to have the same problem. We both have 8GB of RAM and I’m playing on an older GPU (GTX 105), while he has a slightly newer one (GTX 1050 Ti) and a newer CPU (i5 9th gen compared to my i3 7th gen). Initially, my game would lag but once loaded it stores in memory. It seems like his system struggles more with maintaining the game’s data in memory, leading to the stuttering he’s experiencing – despite him trying all the recommended fixes.”

I have the exact same issue, my spec are:
I7 9700k
16gb ram
Gtx1080ti
500gb nvme
CPU and gpu usage drops to 0% causing the game to freeze for a second. This happens online and in campaign mode.

Have you tried this out? It worked for me and had the exact issue when I upgraded to your CPU.
