Why is blizzard selling bo4 and mw at the same price with launch tomorrow? Is mw not the newer version? It's a 3x bigger, more updated battle royal, better multiplayer special ops, and lots of marketing hype.

They're likely offering their older, unsupported titles at reasonable prices. You can check Steam for these games and see if they're available there. Many of the previous titles, like Call of Duty, Black Ops 2, Ghosts, Advanced Warfare, Black Ops 3, World War 2 and Infinite Warfare, are still sold for around 60 euros plus a season pass.

I don't understand the pricing, but at least the MW offers a single-player campaign, which is something valuable in a CoD game.

Modern Warfare offers a different experience compared to Battle Royale, focusing on large-scale conquests with capture points similar to the Conquest mode in Battlefield. Call of Duty titles maintain their prices, with BO4 and even older releases still at $60 on Steam. This pricing pattern reflects Activision's approach, which tends to keep their AAA titles stable rather than discounting them frequently.
