I'm seeking assistance regarding issues I’m experiencing while playing Call of Duty 2 on my LAN-parties. The game crashes consistently when impacted by grenades or utilizing breath-holding with scoped weapons, without displaying error codes. I am using Windows 10 on an older machine and have installed the latest drivers for my Sapphire x1950pro GPU. I've attempted compatibility mode and running as administrator. My system specifications are: CPU: Intel Core2 Duo E7200; GPU: Sapphire x1950pro 256MB; MOBO: FOXCONN G33M02; RAM: 4GB DDR2; HDD: 500GB WD. The game consistently achieves 70fps.

I resolved the issue by connecting both the microphone and output. It crashes without either, and crashes on startup with only the microphone connected. This may assist others.

I solved it! I just had to plug in both mic and output. Without anything it would crash, with just mic it would still crash and with just output it crashed on startup. I hope this helps somebody.
