Consider placing the ShadowPlay cache on either your SSD or HDD based on your needs. The SSD is praised for its durability and speed, making it a good spot for caching gameplay clips. However, some recommend keeping it on the HDD to avoid rapid wear. As for video quality, it should be similar between both drives since the cache itself doesn’t affect the recording resolution.

On an 850 Pro it's not a big concern, especially with an 850 Evo. For the rest of the situation, I'd prefer a solid hard drive instead. The performance won't change much.

It would make more sense to store data on an SSD, since these devices have proven to endure much longer than typical usage periods. The Samsung 850 Pro is a good example.
