On an 850 Pro it's not a big concern, especially with an 850 Evo. For the rest of the situation, I'd prefer a solid hard drive instead. The performance won't change much.

It would make more sense to store data on an SSD, since these devices have proven to endure much longer than typical usage periods. The Samsung 850 Pro is a good example.
