The power supply should include a cable with SATA ports designed for connecting to the peripheral ports on it. Do you have the additional cables included? Or is the SATA cable already attached?

I don't have the additional cable, and the SATA cable isn't connected.

You need cables with the identical pin configuration as your power supply. EVGA provides guidance on compatibility on their support page. https://www.evga.com/support/faq/FAQdeta...aqid=59698 They mention your power supply matches the 100-CK-1600-B9 pinout (G2/P2/T2). It’s best to reach out to EVGA support for replacement options. Using an incorrect cable poses serious risks—opt for a proper supply instead of a random one, as it could cause damage.

I rely on the same fan hub, it's SATA. The PCie adapter was chosen instead of a SATA cable because PCIe offers greater performance, and I think the cable might be overheating due to excessive power.

OP was linking the 6P cable to a modular power supply and employing the SATA splitter to switch from SATA male to SATA male. The PSU featured a distinct pin configuration which caused a dead short, resulting in the wire being destroyed.

It's puzzling why he didn't choose a SATA cable for his fan hub when there are simpler options available.
